Charles Chinnaiyah - Managing Director

Charles left his senior IT role in Sri Lanka in 1981 to emigrate to New Zealand with his wife Kay and their two children. After working for a few years in the business intelligence consulting market, he founded Sysware as a family-run business.

Since those early days, Charles has led Sysware’s growth into a valued supplier of specialist services to many leading New Zealand companies and government agencies.

Charles and Kay balance their city life by developing their olive grove in the southern Wairarapa. The estate has been built from scratch and their hard work is now being rewarded. The trees are producing high quality extra virgin olive oil and Charles has installed his own olive press to accommodate the growing harvest.

Geoff Dodds - Business Development Manager

Geoff has extensive experience in Information Technology. Having started as a trainee operator for a large merchant bank in London his career has taken him to South Africa and New Zealand and covered nearly every aspect of technology. The largest proportion of his career has been heavily involved in software development working in both Private organisations as well as Government departments. Most recently he was the Software Development Manager with the Ministry of Health and prior to that as the Development Manager with ACC.

“Information is power”. I know the quote, although I have no idea who is attributed with saying it first! Many organisations have a plethora of data (not information) which needs to be encapsulated in a timely and accurate manner and presented to help drive strategy and direction and to ensure market leadership. In short this puts the organisation in a powerful position to unleash opportunities for the growth of their business. This is what Business Intelligence is all about.
